Great place to take the dogs for a walk.
I found the couple very friendly and accommodating. I have an intolerance to caffeine and they went out of their way to get me caffeine free drinks (cans and coffee that they did not keep before) from the Tesco from Dundee to save me from carrying it all the way from Glasgow. To me thats above and beyond the call! The breakfast was lovely every morning and there was always a smiling face. I was there for 5 days and there was a couple of days I opted to stay in for the day and just go out at night and this wasnt a problem regarding servicing the room. They just left me to my own devices. This had been my second time at the Balmashanner and I would most certainly go back. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay. Staff very friendly. Kingside room was so comfortable and breakfast was to very high standard. Will definitely be staying here again.Thank you
Great room, friendly and helpful owner, free WiFi (try and avoid places that charge for Internet!), breakfast served in your own room in front of a big bay window which is really nice... Went for a nice run around the area, very rural yet 5 minutes to Forfar. Only slight negative is that it's a shared bathroom but they're upfront on the website about that and for the low price thought it was just great value... Would stay again...
